Overview
Trusted counsel is essential to administering benefactors’ wishes for wealth transfer. Our experienced attorneys help executors and trustees carry out the terms of trusts and estates of all sizes, seeing to it that stated goals and objectives are achieved. We represent individuals and corporate entities in the administration and settlement of estates, including probate proceedings and distribution of assets. We assist with asset valuation and with fiduciary income and estate tax returns and counsel trustees on funding and administering revocable and irrevocable trusts, consistent with federal and state laws. When questions arise regarding interpretation of a trust or when trustees and beneficiaries seek changes — even to a trust that is irrevocable — we advise on options under laws of various jurisdictions. We also counsel trust and estate beneficiaries on inherited assets and advocate on their behalf during disputes with fellow beneficiaries or fiduciaries.
